At Liberty, we’ve been providing Christmas hampers to people in need within our community for more than 20 years. For the last 2 years we’ve done this through a one-day event we call the Great Big Giveaway that has helped over 500 families.

On the day of the Great Big Giveaway we offer hampers, completely free of charge, to people from within the community who could do with a bit of help. To date the hampers have been produced from items purchased by members of the church in the weeks coming up to Christmas.

This year we hope to do things a little different. We are inviting every member of our community to partner with us in making this years Great Big Giveaway bigger that ever before. This year it won’t just be about the church helping the community but about the community helping the community.

We will be calling to homes within the area in the coming weeks to let people know about the event and to give them the opportunity to contribute to helping their neighbours who have fallen on hard times.
